john kay - one of the great rock voices of all time. anyone hear any off notes ? nope. no pitch correction / autotune in this performance. not like the pretenders of today.

Live vocals - rest taped. Not sure why they always did that. Great album though. Public wasnt down w John playing unplugged, but his solo stuff, in many ways, has outstood most of the Steppenwolf material

I think I can safely say that John Kay has to be one of the top five East-German born, immigrants to Canada then America who innovated a new genre of Rock music ever! Seriously, I have always loved watching his rare interviews, where you see the real man. He is a very intelligent, considerate person.

VDGG and Crimson have always been by favourite prog bands, I think they both do the extreme dymanics better than any other bands and this is evident from what Martyn and RF are talking about.

“H to He…” was the first VDGG record I heard, back in the 70’s and I was hooked there and then.
